What To See And Do In Kenya

Kenya is a beautiful and diverse country that offers a range of experiences for visitors to enjoy. From pristine beaches to lush forests and savannahs teeming with wildlife, Kenya Destinations has something for everyone.

One of the most popular ways to experience the natural beauty of Kenya is through our selective Kenya Safari Tours. Here are must-do things to ensure you capture the essence of this remarkable country.

Witness the Great Migration in Maasai Mara

Experience one of nature’s most spectacular events, the Great Migration, where over a million wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles traverse the Maasai Mara in search of greener pastures. This annual migration, typically from July to October, is a breathtaking sight, complete with dramatic river crossings and predator-prey interactions.

Safari in Amboseli National Park

Renowned for its large elephant herds and stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro, Amboseli National Park offers unforgettable game drives. The park’s diverse ecosystem, which includes wetlands, savannahs, and woodlands, is home to a variety of wildlife, making it a prime safari destination.

Explore Nairobi National Park

Just a short drive from Nairobi’s city centre, Nairobi National Park provides a unique safari experience with skyscrapers in the background. It’s home to lions, giraffes, rhinos, and over 400 bird species. The park also houses the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, where you can visit orphaned elephants.

Visit Lake Nakuru National Park

Lake Nakuru is famous for its vast flocks of flamingos that transform the lake’s shores into a sea of pink. The park is also a sanctuary for black and white rhinos, lions, leopards, and numerous bird species. The picturesque landscape includes acacia forests and waterfalls.

Relax on the Beaches of Diani

Diani Beach, located south of Mombasa, boasts pristine white sands and crystal-clear waters. It’s perfect for sunbathing, snorkelling, diving, and various water sports. The vibrant coral reefs and marine life make it a top destination for underwater adventures.

Discover Lamu Island

Lamu Island, a UNESCO World Heritage site, is steeped in Swahili culture and history. Explore the narrow streets of Lamu Town, visit historical sites, and enjoy the serene beaches. The island’s car-free environment and traditional dhow boats add to its charm.

Climb Mount Kenya

Africa’s second-highest peak, Mount Kenya, offers a challenging yet rewarding trek. The mountain’s diverse ecosystems range from lush forests to alpine meadows. Climbing Mount Kenya provides stunning views, unique flora and fauna, and a sense of adventure.

Experience Hell’s Gate National Park

Hell’s Gate National Park, near Lake Naivasha, is known for its dramatic landscapes, including towering cliffs, gorges, and geothermal springs. The park offers hiking, rock climbing, and biking opportunities. You can also spot wildlife such as buffaloes, zebras, and giraffes.

Explore Tsavo National Parks

Tsavo East and Tsavo West National Parks form one of the largest wildlife conservation areas in the world. Tsavo is famous for its large elephant herds, red-dust landscapes, and diverse wildlife. Key attractions include the Mzima Springs and the Shetani Lava Flow.

Engage in Cultural Experiences

Kenya’s rich cultural heritage is best experienced through interactions with its diverse ethnic groups. Visit a Maasai village to learn about their traditions, attend a Kikuyu ceremony, or explore the crafts markets. These experiences offer deep insights into Kenya’s cultural tapestry.

Finally, Kenya Destinations are not merely places; they are gateways to adventure, cultural immersion, and natural wonders. With Seremara Safaris, you can explore and experience the sheering beauty and teeming wildlife of Kenya, book a safari with us and keep your backpacks ready!

Excellent

Seremara Safaris booked a wonderful 3-night safari at Basecamp and Leopard hill. Our guide Tonkei was amazing, we saw leopards, lions, hyenas, elephants, buffalo, hippos, and even a cheetah kill. The basecamp staff and Leopard hill staff were so friendly and kind. We felt so cared for throughout our stay, especially mealtimes.
